Locks

Hotel door locks and key cards

iHotel issues key cards for guests, staff and a master key, and programs each card from the reception desk. Today it works with the supported encoded-card lock models. Other models are added once they have been verified, not before. The locks and cards run on the hotel’s local network and do not need a cloud service.

Card types

Guest cards, staff cards and the master card. Each card carries its kind, so a staff card cannot be mistaken for a guest card.

Issuing from any reception desk

The card is prepared on the server, written on the encoder attached to that reception desk, and then confirmed back on the server. A card can be issued from any desk, and a prepared card can be cancelled before it is written.

Locks supported today

The supported encoded-card lock models; we tell you before you sign whether your lock model is one of them. A bridge for locks already installed in a building, and a wireless lock path, are still in trial and are not promised until they work in a real installation.

The room and its control

The card and the lock are part of the room itself, and the whole room is run from the GRMS guest room management system.
