All questions

What is iHotel?

iHotel is a Saudi hotel management system that combines PMS, GRMS, smart locks and accounting, running on a server inside the hotel.

Is iHotel a cloud system?

No. iHotel runs on a server inside the hotel, on the hotel’s own network. Reception, the restaurant and the locks keep working when the internet is down.

What happens if the internet goes down?

The front desk keeps checking guests in and out, the restaurant keeps selling, and the door locks keep working. Tax reporting and guest messages queue up and go out once the line is back.

Is iHotel ZATCA certified?

iHotel passes the full ZATCA phase 2 onboarding path in ZATCA’s sandbox. Going live happens on your own property and needs your commercial registration, VAT number and a one-time activation code from Fatoora.

What do I need to switch on Shomoos and NTMP reporting?

Your hotel’s credentials for each platform. You enter them on the settings screen, and reporting starts without a software update.

What is the difference between a PMS and a GRMS?

A PMS manages reservations, guests and accounts. A GRMS manages the physical room: lights, air conditioning and vacancy. In iHotel they run as one system.

Does the system work with any lock?

No. Today it works with the supported encoded-card lock models only. Send us your lock model and we will tell you what is possible.

How much electricity does it save?

We do not give a general figure. The system meters each room against a baseline the hotel agrees, and the saving is known from the actual measurement at your hotel.

We already run another system. Can you bring our data across?

Yes: your rooms, room types, rates and opening balances come across, with a report that proves the balances match before you go live on it.

Can I run several reception PCs, or several hotels?

Both, in the plans that include them. One server does the background work; extra reception computers and extra properties are configuration, not a rebuild.

How are backups handled?

Encrypted, with the key never stored beside the backup itself. A restore checks the whole file before touching anything.

Can someone access my system remotely?

Only inside a support window you open yourself, for a stated reason the engineer has to record, and you can end it from your own screen at any point.

How is iHotel sold?

An annual licence per property. The mini-PC it runs on is priced separately.

What happens if I renew late?

Reminders at 60, 30 and 7 days before renewal, then a 14-day grace period. After that, check-in, check-out and the door locks keep working; only the back-office screens close until you renew.

Which cities do you work in?

Makkah, Madinah, Jeddah and Riyadh. We come to your hotel to install, switch on and follow up.
